Too much separation between the foreground and background. They look great on their own but don't seem like part of the same scene.

P-cate responds:

Thanks for the advice!

Pretty cool, the colors could be more varied but the biggest thing is the value which isn't balanced well. The lights should get dimmer as they go down to the bottom.

Toshi13go responds:

Thanks! I'll keep that in mind for future pieces!^ ^ thank you!

I like to think pieces like this take creativity to another level because they employ the abstract, not only the fictional. You can FEEL the tension in the amount of effort he's putting in to escape. This is maybe not the most beautiful in terms of presentation, but the content carries the slack here. The movement in the lines all accentuate the focal point nicely as well. You got my 5.

ChillyCheese responds:

Thanks a lot man! I know its not very clean, I'm always trying to work on the "feeling" of the image that I often neglect to polish the image. Sometimes that rawness works in my favor, other times not so much. I'm glad you like it though!

The one thing I want to point out is that the iris is supposed to be a cone so any shadows that fall in there are gonna follow those contours. Maybe you already knew that, but that's not the impression I got from this. I did a little edit:

Her leg looks a little low-res, but everything else is great! The blue-green on her stomach adds a really nice flavor to this piece.

bella-art responds:

Thank you very much!! :D

BOTH OF YOU ARE AMAZING AT ART! The caps lock means I really mean it. I love your comic book inspired styles. The colors in this are balanced really well and the shapes help to give it some much needed movement. I can't believe this exists somewhere, I wish my town was as cool as this :(

Knafomania responds:

im also making a time lapse video lol

The level of detail is off the charts, did more than one person work on this? Reminds me of an art worm where the next artist builds on the previous piece. My favorite part is the owl.

enzob7 responds:

Thank you. I'm the sole author. It took me a few weeks to complete. :)

Cool poses. Unfortunately the never-ending quest for capitalism continues.

Sabtastic responds:

Hey gotta pay bills and make a living somehow; might as well try to make money doing something you love.

I'm not a fan of the imagery but I can tell this took a lot of work. The lighting must have been a pain to get right. I don't like that it's supposed to be hyper advanced but still has human characteristics (and wings in space?), just some questionable design choices imo.

RussFairchild responds:

Good points. I always tend to lean towards creature design, I'm not great at armor suits yet, but good thinking though. Thanks for the input =D

It's visually cluttered and lacks composition. The color choices clash and overwhelm me and the spaceship blends into the floor. A for effort though.

ScepterDPinoy responds:

I was supposed to make it isometric but it's too time consuming. I should've change the tileset color though.

If you're a fan of your own work, then you'll be fine ~ Start small. If you can't, then start smaller ~ If you don't love what you put out, don't expect anyone else to
