The attitude in America about bullying is like that because most of the time the bully hasn't broken the law (yet) and there are usually more pressing cases to investigate like stolen vehicles, missing persons, etc. It's not that they don't care, but at least American culture gives you the option to defend yourself with arms, if necessary. Technically you can invite your bully over to your house and say you'll shoot them in the head with your hunting rifle and not be breaking the law. We're just animals in the end, collectively we're not very smart, and until our culture starts to promote peace instead of hate we have to look out for ourselves to a degree.

I don't know how to feel about this. The art is great, but it's just another depiction of an African person in a victimized state/pose. I'm not saying that's not the reality, but without any context this just drills into people's heads that African = victim. It reinforces a way of thinking about a people which doesn't help anyone. I know this is newgrounds so most people are not going to get what I'm talking about, but maybe someone will.

Pretty cool, but a little hard to read.

T-T-T-Teach me!! SENPAIIII!!!!!

But seriously, I'm trying not to gush over your skill with fur. Could you perhaps draw an elephant sometime? What I gotta do to make that happen?

AntiDarkHeart responds:

Aww, I'm glad you like my stuff! I don't think I've ever drawn an elephant before. Commissioning me is possible C: I have all my other site links on my profile if you're interested in seeing when I open next as well as prices.

Congrats on the commission! For paid work I think having a big size is good but for personal work making a drawing this big is time consuming unless you want to print it. If you draw smaller sizes you can save a lot of time and add more details and such. :)

Bbycheese responds:

I understand. I'll take your advice, thank you!

I like that you always add something fantastic or surreal to counter the realistic style that can feel overdone sometimes. Some styles can become irrelevant depending on the cultural tone of the moment and I think that only drawing something realistic isn't enough anymore.

zephyo responds:

So true. It gets boring sometimes. I think I'll be messing with abstract soon.

Fantastic.

I love the exclusion on the lighting, possibly my favorite light effect.

I love the way you draw bodies, not just anatomically correct but also aesthetically striking. Your work stands side by side with art for Street Fighter and super hero comics. Much love. <3

Rooshie responds:

Thank you!! That means so much to me

Nailed it!

If you're a fan of your own work, then you'll be fine ~ Start small. If you can't, then start smaller ~ If you don't love what you put out, don't expect anyone else to
