It's been a while since you posted something colored. I like that it's a realistic interpretation of a cartoon character that makes sense.
Hope you're doing alright.

zigan responds:

Hi Luckytime, I'm doin fine, thanks! My digital works have certainly been almost non-existant as of late. In my spare time i've tried getting into more traditional/acrylic painting, but i'm really not that good considering it's kind of a whole 'nother ball game lol. Although i haven't had many requests either, so my motivational mindframe with art is a bit rubbish, plus my full time job i think saps a lot of my creativity D:

I know what you mean about things being painful to complete, lately I've just wanted to stop being creative for a while and do something else. It gets boring doing the same thing for years. Anyway the anxiety shows in this one with the simplified shapes, your work usually looks a lot better. Give it time.

P-cate responds:

It's just I've been with so much anxiety is difficult to focus on things and try to complete it without thinking it looks awful, just to end with a insatisfaction feeling. Although I'm kinda porud that i actually finished this. It makes me happy.
I understand your point. Sometimes is boring for me to make simple drawings. What i really want to do is tell a story. So I've been working in making comics to see if i like that better.

Wow, your composition rocks. I love the solid line that makes up his chest, it gives the eye a nice resting place away from the all the movement.

There's a quality to your drawings that always makes them look very messy, that's really my only criticism though. Everything else about this one rocks. Each element is clearly defined, balanced and adds to the picture in its own way. Every color serves a purpose. If only it wasn't so messy.

zattdott responds:

thanks! ill keep it mind next time

I thought the larva on the far right was a set of dentures that the spider-creature lost.

Great work as usual, but watch the legs on the guy. They're not supposed to look as curvy as the girl's legs. And the fact that he's wearing tight pants doesn't help D: But maybe it's intended, I don't know.

radshoe responds:

Now I can't unsee those dentures ;D. I admit I gave him tight pants out of frustration because I spent too much time drawing wrinkles on his clothes and every time it looked awful. It's too hard and confusing for my tiny dumb brain. Thanks for the review!

I now understand the meaning of life.
Oh wait I forgot it.

The hands are really small, the calves are too big, and the shoulder doesn't seem to be connected. Nice lighting and colors though.

Wow, interesting composition, crazy good colors, and fine attention to detail. I found myself looking at it for longer than I usually do when I'm browsing art. That deserves an award right there.

Just wish the eyes on the left model were proportioned correctly.

sucho responds:

i didn't notice until i had flipped her to do the right side shading, i wondered if people would notice. i took a gamble and i lost :X

This shows a lot of promise! The other drawings in your gallery feel like they're all over the place while this one looks fully realized. The overall design is very good. I just find this style so hot, can't say enough good things about this.

If you're a fan of your own work, then you'll be fine ~ Start small. If you can't, then start smaller ~ If you don't love what you put out, don't expect anyone else to
