You realize there was nothing stopping you from drawing yourself the same as Tom, right?

You're starting to use colors much more conservatively, and only applying them where they're needed. On top of that your blending is getting phenomenal. I haven't seen the reference but the space between the boy and his mother and the other children gives it a sense of... loneliness? I can't find the word but you did a fantastic job here.

I noticed you use almost the same color palette in every drawing, haha.
The drawing is crazy; off the wall bananas.
Maybe a little washed out but a simple filter adjustment could fix that if desired.
I tend not to like symmetry in drawings and you did seem to pay attention and break it up but overall it could use a little more divergence.
Still, it would be irresponsible to give this anything less than 5.

This kicks so much ass, I love all the little details like the reflections. Only complaint I have is with the sky getting lighter toward the bottom, it doesn't feel spacey enough. I'd love to see how you go about making these in a video or something. Are you planning on taking this style in a certain direction?

radshoe responds:

I'm planning to make a short animated film in the future, but I still have so much stuff to learn about animation, lighting, perspective etc. Hopefully I'll start working on it this year. Glad you like this one, thanks man! ;)

I like the style but it's too messy, needs a janitor to wipe away the smudges on the edges.

RomanVinogradov responds:

Thanks for advice, I'm still experimenting with this kind of things!

That is one swoll man.

renevatia responds:

I couldn't have said it any better myself.

I can't lie I'm disappointed by how some parts less detailed than others, but this understandably is big and probably took long enough as is. The parts that are detailed are superb! Excellent composition, great colors, but one thing I will say is the man on the left gets a little lost in the background. If you're not focusing on him he seems to fade away unlike the other two. I think you too away too much of his darkness. Overall very positive!

P-cate responds:

yes!, thank you for the critique!. It's very much appreciated <3. Yeah i kinda fucked up with this fading man (grayscale fuck ups) and the details--- like you know i could've go on. But i had like one week and a half working on this and i was likee mmmhaaa too lazy. I think in the future i'll continue to refine this more and more!, like the repaints i made nowadays of old art. I'm trying to improve and all that, so i'm trying to get into detailed art, backgrounds (although this is not much of a rEAL bg but IM GOING THERE LMAO).

Anyway!, thank you for the comment ^^.

Rad! I'm working a game too as it so happens, though I can't share my work :(
Can't wait to see what yours is like!

zephyo responds:

Bruh that is awesome! Show me yours once its complete then!

Needs more headphones, bicycles and beach settings.

But seriously, love the coloring. The way you made the shadow of the glasses break apart on her face is phenomenal.

Monstercat? Holy balls! I hope they actually use this in one of their videos. You did a fantastic job on it.

YakovlevArt responds:

Thanks!
I don't believe they use the art in their YT uploads but this is the official cover for that track. You can see a short preview using the art on their FB page though :)

If you're a fan of your own work, then you'll be fine ~ Start small. If you can't, then start smaller ~ If you don't love what you put out, don't expect anyone else to
